Google Hangout & Meet

Google hangout and meet are both communication platforms developed by Google which includes instant messaging, video calls and SMS features.We use Meet for most of our tactical, governance and scheduled meetings. Anyone can use Hangout to call another colleague at anytime.

How does it work?

    • In order to call or chat with someone on hangout please invite them to do so by adding their e-mail in the interface of your gmail (right side looking at the screen at the bottom where you see a little icon with your profile picture). Click on "+" to add someone you wish to chat with or call.

    • Functionalities: in a call you can share your screen, send attachments, chat, see the other person live via webcam.

    • To access a meet call you can click on the meeting you want to access in your calendar and then click on the link provided automatically in the invite. You are few seconds away from connecting with your colleagues.

    • This app does not call you when a meeting is starting, you need to access it by yourself through the calendar

    • Functionalities: same as google hangout.

Getting Access

You get access to all google apps once your euforia.org e-mail is set up for you by the HR Procedure Role.

Hangout: in order to set it up on your mobile or PC you need to download the app in the google store. More info .
